Thanks, Carolyn! Unit studies are used often in homeschooling, although many Montessori children’s house classrooms have a themed area. Some call it a feature shelf and others simply refer to it as a theme. My blog posts with themed activities will typically work well in a homeschool or Montessori classroom. I hope that helps. 🙂 Deb

Thank you for sharing this amazing information. Would you recommend using this in a Montessori children’s house classroom or is this more geared for homeschooling? Thanks,

I’ve recently introduced themes in our activities and books. I can’t wait to use themed units with my Little Bean when he’s older.

Hi, Katie! There are activities suitable for 3 year olds in almost all the unit studies (since there are activities for a mixture of ages), but some of the book units (such as Goodnight Moon and Brown Bear, Brown Bear) are especially good for 3 year olds. Have fun! 🙂

Thanks, Jeannine! What you’re doing is wonderful … it’s awesome when you can incorporate the topic into every subject! 🙂

Thanks for your comment, Kayla! I sometimes think we homeschoolers worry more about gaps than anyone else – and we’re the only ones to worry about finishing a textbook! 🙂
